For future reference this is what we worked out as the config Norms DAC as used by smog utilises....

PPort Pin signal use

1 green Blank
14 write DAC1
16 write DAC2
17 Red Blank

This is the config that the file above will select setting 2 DAC channels for X and Y

Hope this helps - but a word from OG about the Parallel support on Mamba 1.9 onwards would be useful as Smog and I could only get output with V1.6J and certainly failed to get any sense out of >1.8.

Maybe you can measure the TTL levels of the data signals (pin 2-9) at your LPT with a voltmeter or a scope. At lease some of the pins must have signal...

Hello, I got the Norm dac working with the mylaserpageDAC 2.0 driver. I only use the blanking because I still only have 1 color.
But you need to fit the 74HC574 chip and use the extra pins instead of the R adn G output on the PCB

I do have a lot of blanking errors. does anyone have a clue how to fix this?

The blanking side of things seems to be OK(ish) it's the X&Y thats the problem.
It seems intermittent as well - for an hour the other day it worked all OK but after shutting MB down, it didn't work again

It's as if the 2 DAC chips get confused and need resetting ??

I will measure TTL outputs as Audrey mentioned and report back.

I never have XY problems, I only have blanking problems
