    The description clearly states that it will work with USB2 or their custom card (which for all we know may just be a usb2 host, but presumably it is in some way better than that).

    I actually think the ISA one is more useful, since it lets you use all of the ancient (read, cheap!) cards laying around with modern computers, just as long as you can find drivers that don't require win3.1

    Bumping up this thread - I have a bare QM2000 that I'm wondering if I can bring back into use by simply giving it a USB adapter and enclosure. For example, would something like this work?

    That one definitely will not work, it is just a passive extension wire which allows you to mount a pci-e device outside of your computer case. Note the 'pci-e (male) to usb' part that you need to install in your computer.
