Quick test animation done as noted above.

For some reason LDS PIC Edit hangs at high CPU when trying to open it.

It happens when you are forgetting to convert colors. press P and then shift A. Also try to work in small work space. 320X240 will do.

BTW LDS/Phoenix Pic editor should open ildas from laserboy no problem.

I hired an Italian guy to do my wires. Now they look like spaghetti!

aha. I had forgotten to hold shift with A. Can you expound on the benefits of a small workspace? Laserboy is set to 1024x768 right now.

He's talking about his DXF universe.

It shouldn't matter. DXF is ASCII real numbers. It can be anything from the size of a subatomic particle to the size of the entire known universe and anything in between!

Ugh! I'm still working on this sample shift thing.
    I'm so freakin' close!

No not a laserboy but the workspace of your DXF.

BTW drlava you should be able to import those ILDAs I posted. I did checked on LSD 2008 and it imports well.

BTW James can't find any documents on PIC format. I know it's similar to ILDA. Should I just make a PIC/ILDA combo and send it to you.

Perhaps setting the conversion space to a smaller work area would result in less unnecessary vertexes.

James, It's crazy easy to do something like that in 3D software. This one was done in 3D studio max 2.1 (1997?) and with the illustrate! 4.0 vector rendering plugin 30-day trial (still trying to figure out how to get colorized vectors). Then the DXFs were converted to ilda in laserboy. Hopefully a blender plugin will come about similar to illustrate! Someone is currently working on one in the forums.

Post the DXF output so I can see it. I'll find the colors!

I gotta' gota' bed now. My brain is fried anyway.
