Hi all,
I've been working on getting 3d models out of Google SketchUp Pro and into LaserBoy. The 3d dxf is posing some problems, so in the meantime, I've written a script for SketchUp that animates a spin around the model, saving a sequence of 2d DXFs to C:\ as it goes. You can then load this into LaserBoy and export as ILDA or do whatever else you choose.
So yes- nice 3d for everyone! I suspect this requires SketchUp Pro, as it depends on the built-in DXF export feature, but there is a free trial of that available- so try it!
To install this, unzip it and copy it to c:\Program Files\Google\Google SketchUp 6\Plugins\ and restart SketchUp. It adds two menu options to the bottom of the Camera menu.
edit:
eh, this might not work. Working on it...
