I have 1.5.2.1 installed, is it possible to install 1.5.5.0 over the previous so that I keep my settings etc. or do I need to uninstall first?
I will be testing this new version with a USB soundcard DAC in the next few days, I'll bring the computer and my ghetto-projector to a club next friday...field testing!

I just tried to install version 1.5.5.0 and the installation process halts with an error about "System.Data.Entity version 3.5.0.0".
Any ideas?

I got that error yesterday on one of my test PCs. I have not resolved it but my guess is that you need to have .NET 3.5 SP2 installed. It is available from the Microsoft website. One of these days I want to rip out the need to have .NET 3.5 but for now it is easier to just download and install it.

I think you have to uninstall the old version first. But, it should only take you a minute to fix up the settings again. But you are right, it would be nice to just upgrade and not have to redo the settings.Originally Posted by dar303

same thing happened to me yesterday and i finally got it to work after my third try.
it works now

the whole program.
it wouldnt complete.
so i tried again and same thing just said couldnt install. then third time it did it all no problem.
but it did take quite a bit of time.

To bad, i really like the software
