As most of you going to UKLEM know my Laser Harp and keyboard will be there. One person on PL was asking about me playing requests. Would be happy to but must be from the list below. Sorry but the only music i can play are all pieces by J M Jarre.

    Oxgene parts 4, 7*, 10, 13
    Equinoxe parts 4, 5, 7
    Magnetic Fields parts 1, 2, 4
    Zoolookologie
    Rendez-Vous 4
    Chronologie parts 3*, 4, 6
    Bells (Millenium concert version)

    * parts played on laser harp.

Looking forward to seeing the lasers beaming about the venue to the music.

Sadly I'm not going to be able to make this one again!

Parent's ruby wedding party on the same day, I'd be struck off if I missed that!

Have fun, and take lots of pictures!

i know the venue, in 1992 I used to work for a promoter who put on rave nights there. I often got to chat with the laser guys, they had huge water cooled argon 3w lasers.
I make laser now myself, purple ones mainly but gonna have a go at putting together a blue dpss from its raw components.
I'd like to attend this meet, whats it all about and who'd be coming?

Hi Myorath and welcome to the forum.

Basically the laser meets are a place where we can all get together and talk about lasers from approx 10am to probably 10pm (ish). We all take some gear along, however basic and we demonstrate our wares to other interested parties. Don't worry if you haven't got any gear as yet, it's really not a problem. All you need is a love of coherent light and you'll enjoy the day.

It's looking as though we'll be having a couple of 'workshops' this year, possibly on Pangolin's LivePRO and Medialas's Mamba Black software, We may even manage to get a talk on Laser Safety if one of the Safety Guru's is attending. You get to learn lots and we may even possibly get to learn something from you. I'm sure you'd be made most welcome, we're a nice bunch of folks honest

Probably the best thing is to have a search through the forum and look at previous meets (there's plently of Photo's - thanks Andy ). Also, search for threads for UKLEM 3, the one that's taking place in Leicester on 10th August.

There will be a small charge this year to cover security/cleaning/bar staff etc. We particularly have to thank Mark (Fluff) for getting us the use of this magnificent venue. and many others who have put in (and will put in) work to ensure everyone has a great day.

    Cheers

    Jem

Default Mamba workshop at the meet

Anyone who is interested in this I am looking for any suggestions of what you want to see. I think it will help me if on the day I dont have to fly too much by the seat of my pants - though thats ok - but if I can have some ideas of areas that you want to see a bit more of please shout.
I will also be endeavoring to record the screen output with some capture software - hopefully overlaid with audio picked up on a mic from the room, this will be avail as a DVD for anyone interested so you dont have to remember it all on the day. There will be a small charge for the DVD just to cover jiffy bags and stamps - just sign up for it on the day.

Just the very basics for me Rob as I have not had too much time to play with it to date. Been too busy with other stuff as you know.
I would appreciate some sort of basic fly around the program just to show me a few bits I am not sure of plus as mentioned, the basics. Any more about it, I will pick up as I am listening to yourself and others.

Wouldn't it be fantastic if MB2 was out before the meet. We could all sit there and matsru, masutr, mastrub, mastubtar....... oggle at it
