The 'boosters' are called Iogear USB extenders, bought from Ebay, and I have just this minunte sat down after testing it out to my car from the conservatory at the back of the house and it worked fine. I unravelled the full 50M of standard unsheilded CAT5 cable, which I have wound around a reel, with RJ45 connectors on each end. These plug into the Iogear extenders which both have USB connectors within them. One end plugs into the USB port on the pc and the other end into my Moncha DAC. The DAC then plugs into my projector, sat in the back of my car in this instance, via a 5M ILDA lead and it works fine
