Whenever I think of laser pointers, I think of that gag in "The Jerk" with Steve Martin. The restroom key for the gas station is chained to a car wheel! That's how high power pointers should be sold to boobs who don't understand the possible dangers!

OK- that may be my next project You dont mind (3) 8 guage wires hanging out of your pocket, right? (no ground) OK..Show me a 208VAC 3 phase Argon pointer!
If its water-cooled it may be a bit more complicated..
How about a small chiller strapped into a back-pack..
After seeing pictures of the battery-powered, water-cooled, hand-held, 10 watt CO2 laser rifle that was in attendance at one of the UKLEM's recently, I'd have to say that damn near anything is possible!
Go ahead and build it, Steve-o! We'll find someone to carry it... (I nominate Steve Roberts!)

recently I've been putting a few filters between the main body and the final lens and it works quite well, its starting to make a nice slide projector, just needs a few modifications.
My friends say I'm mad , I suppose they're not wrong !
