The mill from craigslist would have cost me a fortune to move it from portland. I got my eye on one here and if my engraver sells on ebay, my new machine shop should be up and running in a week or two. Yep another fortune that i will spend and never recover. But i have a million ideas (one last brainstorm until my brain fades away) and need a shop to bring them to light. I can not rely on ANY machine shop.

This is a DIY I am runnig them with the LM317 ckts but my goal is to provide a mounting plate for the flexmod. currently this almost fits in a closed altoids can....Curiously strong laser current dim- (and I can shrink it a bunch) 2.5 x 3.5 x 1.25" It is repeatable to >1 watt. I have made a 240 mw 405 as well, it will be upgradable to >1 watt as well. (I gots high hopes, may fall a bit short but I can try)

Using lm317 circuits to drive the laser diode are you able to provide analog modulation ?

not too interested in blinking them off and on right now, that is for you guys. I just hacked the ckts together to generate light. I will sell the mechanical stuff and you install your own diodes, and I recommend flexmods from dr lava.

When I 1st posted this, Chuck had a very expensive diode that belonged to me. I needed it back, he didnt respond, so I posted this thread. He then returned the diode to me. I've just now edited post #1. I really didnt mean to cause harm to the guy. As far as the other people he owes, I dunno. This was a personal matter. It is resolved. I hope that he can make good to the rest of you all that he owes to.

i eventually got mine back as well... although it died 5 minutes after I applied power to it... i have a very well regulated and clean supply that was only set for 7 volts!

anyone else think they could fix it up for me for some $$$
