    Not true.

There is no reason to make it different; especially after it had already been posted as the same.

The header that it got changed to makes no sense. It offers no more information. It is redundant and stores a 16 bit value in a 32 bit number. THAT is obviously wrong for no reason.

There is no benefit in it being different.

Why should only one out of the now 6 different format chunks need a non uiniform header? Why not make them all different? That way it would be almost impossible to read the file.

You say Spaghetti reads format 2? Can you open files made in LaserBoy that have a non default palette defined in them and get the right colors?

You are making an assumption or an opinion about the header format. To me, it makes no difference if they were the same or if they are different. Takes 2 minutes to implement it one way. Two to implement it another. If your software is based on having them all they same maybe that was a poor design decision. Not sure what to tell you there. It never caused me a moment of grief so I am not sure what all the crying is about. I really don't.

I can read format 2. It was one of the first things i did. i dont know if it will open LaserBoy. I never use LaserBoy.

You should try it sometime. You might like it. It's very colorful.

LOTS of palettes and palette coloring effects.

Maybe some person other than you or I will try to open LaserBoy ILDA output with format 2 in Spaghetti.

    Easy!

load any series of frames into LaserBoy (in.ild is a good example). Go to 'p' the palette transforms menu. Up arrow to the target palette called EZFBhues. Choose option 'A' (capital a). Now all of the frames will be based on a palette other than the default.

Make sure that in menu 'u', option 'k' is not set. You want to save "good ILDA". That means format 0, 1, 2, and if necessary 3; not 4 & 5.

Now go to menu 'o', option '3' and save all of the frames. This should create an ILDA file with format 2 as the first chunk followed by many frames of both 3D and 2D vector information (formats 0 & 1).

Where did you get examples of ILDA with format 2?

    Can I see them?

I dont remember. I have tons of ILDA files of different types from here and there. Some aren't correctly implemented so i had to add hacks to load those as well.

Why are cinder blocks all made the same size?

So you can build the foundation of a house with them and it won't fall down!

    DUH!

Please don't ever write any code that has anything to do with life support.
