Unfortunately, no. If you clean the mirrors and you are still getting lots of splash like that, the only other option is to replace the mirrors and re-tune the scanners. It's not as hard as it sounds though.
Where did you buy that projector? Is it possible to ask the manufacturer about replacing the mirrors? (Replacement mirrors are normally $50 or less.)
Also, it would be helpful if you filled out your profile information so people will know where you are located. If you're lucky, there may be another member that is close to you. You might be able to get some assistance in changing those mirrors!
The third option is to just live with it. It's really not that much of a problem. But if it really bothers you, then you're going to want to change those mirrors.

I have tried using the tissue I use to clean my sunglasses but nothing changed :-( is there a specific product I should look for in an optics shop?
Yes, you need some Caliope OptiClean, It's a polymer lens cleaner. This is the only link I can find at the moment and that's for 500ml. Don't panic when you see the price as it is sold in small bottles of 20ml ish at a much more sensible price.
Basically you just paint this on your lens, let it dry and peel it off, it removes all the dirt in the polymer film as you lift it off the lens.
If you PM Rob (Stanwax), he has a link where he gets it from, the only other link I had bookmarked is now showing a 404 not found

Thanks for the info adam.
I am from INDIA and i dont think we have any memeber in here who's from this very place. So help from someone else is out of question.
The manufacturer of the projector is a very reputed laser company in china(the company has a memeber in this forum as well) and sending it back to the manufacturer and getting it imporetd back into my country is not easy and a great struggle with customs, as i learned from my experience of buying it for the first time.
Maybe i will try to learn myself about replacing the mirrors, but i didnt wanted to take risk for the very reason dat if something goes wrong with it in here ,there would be no possiblity of help and even cant think of sending it back to the manufacturer to get it recitfied.![]()
India, eh? Very cool. Though I think you are right - you may be the first PhotonLexicon member from India. (Congratulations!
) There are other laserists there, however. I know a couple people that travel to India several times each year to do business with other laserists there.
Replacing the mirrors isn't that difficult. You loosen the glue holding the mirror in place with the hot tip of a soldering iron. Then you remove the mirror and clean out the slot on the scanner shaft. Finally, you position the new mirror in the exact center of the shaft and epoxy it in position. (Note: do not use superglue! It out-gasses and can leave a film on your mirrors. Use fast-setting 2-part epoxy for best results.)
Once you replace the mirrors (and the glue has dried), you will need to re-tune your scanners. And that's about it. It's something that you should be able to do yourself, but if you think it's too risky, you could always live with the splash from the mirrors. It's really not that much of a problem. (It's more of an aesthetic issue than a real problem.)
