I was thinking of buying Pangolin off djtraximus but I couldn't work out his pricing for it, he also doesn't appear on Pangolin's distributors list, so I opted for someone that is.

Hey guys, yer you found me in Queensland, its been a year now since moving up here, you can find me at various jobbies from time to time at the Gold Coast and Brisbane. Usually doing corporate stuff or at the occasional bush doof.
Always changing or re-aranging laser arsenal...never bought a complete system always built my own custom units now since 1990. But only started lasering to the public since 1996 at the old underground dance parties around Sydney then spent many years in the Czech Republic and traveling around the world. Met Patrick Murphy from Pangolin, Florida in 99' Dirk Baur at the new Medialas Base Germany 2000 and Pavol Kubosek in the early days of Kvant at the University Bratislava office in 2001. And a few other legends from Germany, Florida & OZ.
Returned to Sydney in 2002 after loosing all the gas laser technologies of the past in 2001 and began a new era of solid state shows and still lasering today under the name of "Anomaly Media Arts"

Default Australia's Laserists Hall of Fame

Don't know if any of these fella's are on this forum, but I would like to pay respect to these names as probably the biggest names in the industry in our country and most of them pioneers in the game and great inspirations to myself and many other old school laserists.

    cosMICK's Laserists Hall of Fame!

    Jeff Rose: Laser Special Events
(many years work and some awesome pioneering projects!)

    Paul Mazlin: Oracle Lasers Australia
(Founder Developer, thank you for blowing so many minds over the years!)

    Paul McCloskey: Laservision Australia
    (Fattest corporate multimedia shows ever!)

    Drew Muirhead:
    DMC Lighting & Sound
(Responsible for some of those giant lasers like the Aquarius II ect. in the early 90's RAVE scene.)

    Glenn Turner: Laser Corp/Oracle Attractions
(This is probably one of the most influential people in the industry that we have, a true laser guru, in one way or another has been involved with the work or development of all the above mentioned companies over many years and some of the biggest laser systems and designs. He is probably the most decorated laserist we have in this country.

There are a few others I just cant think of immediately, please feel free to add to this list.

And respect to all the university professors and scientists involved with mega laser research projects they are a league above all but just don't get the exposure like the rest of us in the entertainment sectors.
    RESPECT FELLA'S!

Oracle makes the laser system that M2 lasers use over here in NZ for their chemistry gigs. They don't get into much else that I know of though with their bigger stuff.

Finally some one within spitting distance, I’m actually on the Gold coast the week after next for a four day training session ( still yet to lock in accommodation at Currumbin). Once i have details settled in I’ll be in touch I’m always interested developing contacts in the field.

I'm hoping to secure some work in Brisbane as a lighting operator on the side in one of the bigger clubs here, i haven’t had a chance to talk to many people yet as i only arrived mid this week.

I also did a lot of work in the late 80's early 90's Dance parties in Sydney most of the work i did was with Paul Holden and the Bacchanalia parties at the Hordon Pavilion (mostly Video / CGI, embracing compared to current efforts).

Did Drew Muirhead own AV Sound Productions Based out of Balgowlah back then? I am more than sure my old business partner of 15 yrs Steve Gordon worked with him quite extensively...he was a Natioanl DCM mix master contender back then

...PS Bring back the House Music, the dance parties back then before they got overly commercial were pretty special.

    Hey cosMICK,

Ive just joined photo lexicon (finally)..

Ive heard that there has been some posts relating to me so thought best to join and get into it. I did used to be part of many forums but time is too tight these days..

Anyway, I saw your post and wanted to say thanks for your kind words! Its has been a LOOONG ride for me and its nice to know its been worth it and that Ive made an impact.

Certainly the Livepro "ultimate controller" had been swimming in my mind for years before I teamed up with Bill Benner and his team to make it a reality. I remember wanting so much more from a live controller and not one company had anything near what I needed. Now its here its really a great thing! Hope everyone out there is having as much fun as I am.

As for Geoffrey Rose, he is a great friend of mine, he and I have done many many great shows together over the years. He is certainly one of the "mirror" genius's we must never forget..

Paul Mazlin too has been a buddy along the way from the beginning. I think he started in lasers only a year or so before I did and we performed shows together and cross hired equipment even though for years we were somewhat in competition. Although we did have a sort of an unspoken "gentleman's agreement" that he and I would stear clear of each others areas. I mostly did corporate and he parties. Its because of this fair and loyal actions that enabled me to merge my company with Oracle almost 5 years ago that would allow him to go onto new ventures.

I think its VERY important that you do the right thing by people. Theres a LOT of people out there that are just so unprofessional and unethical. They think only of the here and now and dont take time to think "where will this take me in years to come", "how could this effect my future?", "is this decision going to make me money now but lose money or my image later?".

Just because you think you get away with something doesn't mean you should!

My belief is, if "I" know about it, its the same as everyone knowing.

Also remember, if your talking about someone else behind their back, only say what you would say if they were actually there! With this, youll find yourself about to say something and realise, I shouldn't say it.. People will respect you for this.

Finally, never say negative things about your competitors, no matter what their status, your better off saying "I prefer not to comment".. If you think logically about this, if you make up a lie about your competitors and the person your telling buys it, why wouldn't this be the same for your competitors? So stop it before you shoot yourself in the foot!
