Little late getting in here(still trying to catch up on the backlog... I may never take a vacation again!), but it seems that Oli is well on his way!
Welcome to PhotonLexicon, Oli! Glad to see you're drawing up plans already. It really helps to have a template to go by. You'll notice right away if you don't have room to adjust a scanner amp, or re-attach a wire. Better to make those mistakes on paper, rather than in metal!
If you're stumped and need some inspiration, have a look in the PhotonLexicon user gallery. There are lots of pictures of projectors in there. It will give you a good starting point at least.
As for keyswitches, etc, you can try Mauser, or Digi-Key, or even Allelectronics.com. Just make sure the key can only be removed in the OFF position. (I'm not up on the European electronics companies, but surely there are plenty to choose from on your side of the Atlantic as well.) Maybe one of our UK members can chime in here with a local company...
One final thought: If you can make it to a UK Laser Enthusiast's Meeting (UKLEM), *DO IT*. You'll meet a bunch of really great people and learn a lot about lasers, software, controllers, and projectors. I think they're actually talking about having another UKLEM in the not-too-distant future, so you might want to have a look in the Meet and Greet subforum and see what's cooking...
And again, welcome to PhotonLexicon!
Adam
