Most (if not all) of the day is a free for all.
Maybe we could spare just a bit of time for one or two "performers" to take the floor and entertain us (whilst we gorge on Jim's Mums mince pies).
Then we could show them yankee boys how it's done.![]()

Whoa... Good news. It's looking like the chances of me getting to the meet have greatly increased. Now about 80% certain
Get that Karaoke ready lads
I'm pretty much up for anything on the day and am happy to fit in with anyone's wishes (as long as it involves lasers)
Perhaps Richard (Soferene) and I could do a dance demo to some trance

has anyone spoke to mark (fluff) or kevin??
Eat Sleep Lase Repeat
We thought about doing a Lase-off as SELEM, but instead we just had Francesco give us an hour-long tutorial on how to use LivePro!. He had 3 projectors linked to his touch-screen laptop via 3 QM-2000.net boxes and a long drop of Ethernet cable.
The demo/tutorial was one of the highlights of SELEM. (And is largely responsible for me deciding to upgrade to LivePro!)
Adam
Adam, upgrade from what?
LD-2000 intro does not come with a license for LivePro. That's something you have to add later. Thus "upgrade"...
I still have my LD-2000 intro, but now I have a LivePro license to go with it.
Prior to that, the only "live" player I had was ShowtimeLive (which comes with the LD-2000), or one of my older software packages (either Mamba Black or Alphalite). Obviously, LivePro is far superior to either one.
Adam
I see. I thought you were going to say FB3.
I'm going to get LivePro for the USB next month![]()
Hi Graham;
Yeah, well, I don't have the FB3. (Yet!)But you're right, if you already have the FB3, it's cheaper to get a LivePro license for it than to get one for the LD-2000 package. (Then again, the LD-2000 supports DMX-out commands...)
In fact, I think the FB3 / LivePro combination is one of the best values out there for Live laser shows. (Certainly cheaper than Mamba, X-29, or Full Auto...)
If you get your LivePro USB license next month, you'll have it in time for the next UKLEM. I'm sure you'll have plenty of fun with it then! (Are you guys going to be broadcasting live this time? Would be nice to check out Karl's new touchscreen setup for LivePro...)
Adam
UKLEM 3½ is still a go go
A submission to the CAA for outdoor high power lasers has been submitted too
Watch this space (I hope)
I won't have my Argon there unfortunately as it goes this Monday night, over to it's new owner in Sweden
It will be a good event, I am sure of it!!
