For those of you who don't follow alt.lasers, there was a large discussion on there about a person who felt they had been ripped off by Leubner. He then proceed to post the private information of the member from paypal/ebay. When that along with the information posted earlier in this thread was reported to ebay, he has since been deactivated as a member from ebay for these violations.

Only just seen this thread. I very nearly ordered a 1 Watt 650 diode + tec & optics from this guy last week, but my doubt valve was twitching, so scrapped the idea and ordered a module from Stanwax instead.

I orderd a 3 watt 808nm diode and a 25 diode grabe bag all for 40 USD from him, all arived working and ready to go i have the 3 watt diode woking and 24 out of the 25 diodes worked too

Hello all,
that ebay buyer that was harrassed by herurr was me!
All in all, I believe he got fair treatment for what he has done to me and many others. As you can tell from the alt.lasers discussion, things got nasty and very emotional with him.

I could have caused him more grief, but for now this seems sufficient to me. I doubt this will be a wake up call for him, but at least it exposes a little more about who your giving your money to!

Before anyone (perhaps chris himself) attacks me, let me point out that ebay actually took action. Anyone that has done business knows that ebay rarely does anything, especially to someone that sells as much as he does. I think that speaks loudly to the proof I presented them with.

He still threatens to sue me for slander and whatnot. It would be great if he just hushed and turned over a new leaf. Seems its just easier to play by the rules, even if you are untouchable.

No... enough... I let it go since e-bay favored me in the right as well having submitted all documents pertinent.... doesn't really matter. The bottom line is anyone can sue for anything. Having proof that you are in the right is priceless...

Hey Mike.. I think the bigger bottom line is to avoid ever dealing with Chris in the future, no matter how good the deal appears to be!

You know, it never even occurred to me that he could just sent an empty envelope to a different address in the same zip code and then claim that "the delivery confirmation says it was delivered - you must be lying!" Damn, now that's another fraud I've got to watch out for. (Guess that means FedEx with sig required from now on...) But yeah, given his reputation it makes perfect sense that he'd try something like this.

Then again, I'd already written him off years ago, after reading more than enough about his previous victims on alt.lasers. Sad to see that he's still out there screwing people over.

USPS also offers signature confirmation for $2.20, so I have made it mandatory in all of my new auctions. This keeps everyone honest.
Chris could sue, but he would have a hard time proving much. Ebay took action on him due to his OWN actions rather than mine. I just reported him. From what I understand, he just tells people hes going to sue. That in itself is a crime. :-)) (If your going to sue someone, you must do so and not threaten them over and over again).

His items are ALWAYS too good to be true. From the high power IR collimators that are nothing more than a $5.00 aixiz glass lens screwed into a $2.50 aixiz housing to his high power UV laser diodes. (Just a regular blueray laser diode he pulled from an xbox360 or PS3). I bought some tritium tubes from him, just to find they were from some old Exit sign! He claimed they were only 2 years old and were filled with CURIES of tritium! They simply are not...

Staying away from him is the best bet...Its good to see I am not the only one that has had problems with him...
Hes suspended for now, but that will likely end soon and he will be back on ebay with his junk. He SURE gets top dollar for his stuff, doesnt he? I wish my stuff would sell like that!

Seriously Chris, I don't know why you bother posting here anymore. The game is up. You might have been able to salvage your reputation at one point (maybe a year or two ago), but your continued unethical behavior pretty much speaks for itself.
