640nm is visually twice as bright as 650nm and you're running 660's.
I have only run one of these up for a few minutes and not seen the beam through fog in the dark, but would say that the spot of a 150mW/642nm is over 3 times brighter than a 200mW Opnext HL6545MG.

Anyone got an eyeball sensitivity chart handy to give the scientific version of the 640/660 comparison?

FourDee - have you confirmed the price/availability and minimum qty with your supplier, and are you willing to run a GB on these little fellas if there's enough interest?
Stockman and Sharpe says 640nm is 2.8 times more visible than 660nm. I whipped up a little diagram to easily compare different red wavelengths. Please note that the luminosity is relative to 532nm.

Tempting, the emission specs are decent although they don't mention the astigmatism distance.

OK, here's the deal. I really want some of these diodes, so I'll be ordering some soon.

I think I'll order 5 or so, I will keep 2, and sell the other 3. This is not exactly a group buy, but at least some of us will have these precious diodes

I still will have to see what price I'm going to sell them at.

Well there's currently 12 wanted so if you do want 5 FourDee, then we're up to 17.
We need 25 to make the price break..
