Jem asked the same question in the GB thread, and these diodes should work very well with the dichro, if you're mixing them with 660nm that is - it obviously will not mix these diodes with 635nm...
With cooling, these diodes should push down to 640nm (or less) btw
I am interested to know if this diode may be suitable for holography. It has single longitudinal mode, but are there other things in the specification that go against this? I know that 658 nm diodes, like the SLD1239JL-54, can be used, but it would be nice to have a diode with shorter wavelength.
What does the "TE Mode Oscillation" in the spec mean?
How much is just one diode from Photonic, compared to the price when 25 diodes are bought?

Dear Sirs .,
I have interest to buy some of these Opnext diodes .
Perhaps I can be interest in buyng the rest to complete 100 units and have better price for all .,
Please inform
I´m from Spain and the last time Photonics give me a different(higher) price .
Please inform

As Simon already posted above, the custom dichro will work with 640 nm, though 642 nm might be a bit of a stretch... You'll probably end up loosing 10% or so with the stock alignment, though you should be able to angle-tune it to get better efficiency at the lower wavelength.
It's the 650 nm diodes that absolutely won't work. 650 nm is right in the middle of the transition band. Granted, it's a *very* narrow band, but it's more or less centered on 650.

This GB is for 25pcs (or more) and we're having trouble getting to that Fernando, so unless your in for buying about 85 of themwe're not going to get anywhere near the 100pcs price break.. which incidentially was £86.40 each +VAT, and that may have dropped a bit more by now.
But feel free to jump in if you're interested![]()
Thanks for the answer p1t8ull. I have already sent Photonic an email. However, if someone has an idea whether the diode is suitable for holography or not, please tell.
OK.....
1 for me.
