    This thread has good information regarding tuning techniques, especially for 20K scanners... So the LF damping correction for overshoot is sort of like the derivitive with respect to PID (Proportional Integral Derivitive) loops?

    Yes, the scanner amp is a PID loop on older scansets, and something like PII on new ones.

    Think I low frequency and I high frequency on the new ones.
