    Andy

Don't know if you can help, but I have an O2 Orbit XDA running Windows Mobile 6.

I have downloaded and installed WM6 Remote Desktop but seem to be having problems connecting to my desktop PC. There are four required fields as follows...

    Computer:

    User Name:

    Password:

    Domain:

I have tried to fill these in but i'm still having problems connecting. I'm assuming 'Domain' is the I.P. address of the PC i'm trying to connect to.

    Any ideas?

    Cheers

Nope, it still doesn't want to work

I've now tried pretty much every combination of I.P. address (192.168.0.5) / username & password. I've disabled Windows firewall and made sure remote assistance is enabled on my desktop PC.

The only thing I can think of, in fact i'm almost certain now, is that my WiFi Router is stopping the connection as I have wireless security enabled on the router. However, I wouldn't want to switch that off as security could be compromised on the rest of the wireless network. However, there's no way of inputting security passwords on WM6 remote desktop.

    What do you think?

yea, I think the key was to do an ad-hoc connection, i.e. with out a router.

O.K., So using a router is out then.

I'll try an ad hoc connection

    Thanks
