The connection to "format 3 BS" came from here:

Maybe it's not so smart to comment on a post made by a person who's on your ignore list.

    Cool

Actually, James - that post of mine was right on the money. It was in reponse to your claim to Bill in the message immediately preceding it where you said:
You have never proved me wrong about anything.
Since the only thing Bill was ever trying to "prove" to you was that ILDA's decision about the file format didn't have *anything* to do with you *or* your Laserboy software, clearly your rant was about Format 3. Thus my comment about yet another format 3 rant.

And even though you were in my ignore file, I still got PM's (and quoted parts of your messages in other posts), so it wasn't like I was completely unaware of your rantings while I had you in the ignore file. (That was one of the reasons I took you off the ignore list. If I was going to hear about it anyway, it made sense to be able to see it for myself.) I also had hope that you would eventually come back to reality. Aparently that hope was in vain.

No hope of that. I am completely insane.

For whatever reason format 3 was ruined and abandoned, it is STILL a much better solution to 24 bit color in an ILDA file than formats 4 & 5.

That is all I care about.

    Really ??? !!!

`Cause I can't find "James" or "LaserBoy" in your post!

    "Pangolin Dealer...N.Z."

    Do you use LaserBoy ???

    James ...

Sorry, I don't use Laserboy I am currently a keen user of the Pangolin system and the support they offer.

I have no issues in regard to Laserboy or for that matter any other software as I simply don't know it.

I am neither "for you" or "against you"..

What I was supporting in Werner's statement was your right (our right) to post and say our bit.

I also support the suggestion that some posts are inappropriate.

I do have concerns when threads become so personal that they start to convey a picture of a fragmented forum which generally PL is not.
Its strength is in the sharing of knowledge and the helping of others.

If your input is part of that all the better.

I know Dr Lava's input is in this helpful area, as is Adam's (Buffo).

Whilst I don't 'worship' at the alter of Pangolin I have personally seen the help and support that Bill brings to this forum, its members and his clients.

So while I do not comment on the technicalities of your debate (as I do not have that level of understanding yet)..
I do, so to speak, support your right to state your case.

I would suggest however a little less personal insults all round, from all parties concerned would be helpful, despite, no doubt, the passion with which you all have for this subject..

Simply my position on this as a keen PL member.

    Cheers
