    Lightbulb Platinum is Awesome. Really.

It makes great material for jewelery, it has uses in electronics, dentistry, laboratories and of course, it's an element.

I have yet to figure out how exactly this is Administrative News...

Then again, perhaps if Photonlexicon ever starts trading in futures to cover (or require more) operational costs, platinum would be a good choice. There.

Haven't had a drop since SELEM in August.

I'm going to go with midnight boredom.

Platinum is certainly useful... especially its catalytic properties.

I found that platinum does not mix well with tin though. An expensive experience.

Yeah, packing and shipping my laser and then driving to Charlotte wasn't really enjoyable until some aspirin from CVS and a sandwich from Subway, eaten very gradually, did their magic. I'm still trying to figure out what caused me to down 13 beers that night. Probably PSAD, (Post-Super-Awesomeness-Disorder) from experiencing everything that is SELEM. By the way, thanks for that 13th beer!

Anyway, after that, I decided I didn't need to drink until my wedding minus a couple of occasions here and there which haven't come up yet. (annual Guy's Weekend with some friends in January and a Cystic Fibrosis pub crawl benefit I go to every year in Seattle..)

    Cool

13 beers? Damn - I should have stayed in Newton another night! I drove home and missed it... (I'm assuming this was Sunday night, right?)

You should have been there for SELEM 2007 last year. At the Pre-SELEM party on Friday night (at the Artist's Cafe) Hayden started ordering Petrone Tequila around 8:45 PM. By 10:00 PM we had exhausted the bar's entire supply of the stuff! (The bar bill for that night topped 4 figures!)
