Sweet. Though I am lazy, I am going to give LaserBoy a go, but I can be impatient. Thanks for the tut, I would not able to do it without it. I will post my results when finished.

Dude! I'm nowhere near done yet!

There's WAY more to know about drawing in LaserBoy!

I'll keep pluggin' along at my own pace, but please feel free to experiment and ask questions any time!

Oh the agony! I can almost hear you screaming from here!

When you finish what should be one line of the art, then just '.' pop another point and place it at the begining of the next line you want to trace.

The next '.' pop will give you a longer vector, so move it into place with 'x' 'X' and 'y' 'Y' or 'f' 'F' and 'm' 'M'.

    And keep drawing.

If you want to blank that jump, then put BOTH the egg and the spider on THAT ONE VERTEX.

And hit the 'b' key to blank it!

Now you have made your first LaserBoy vector drawing with TWO lit segments! A "lit segment" or "segment" is a string of laser vertices that are lit. Segments are sperated by blanking. Because you blanked between to different lines in your drawing, you now have 2 segments. Use the 'u' key to select whole segments, in order.

Press and hold 'p' or 'P' to move the slected palette index to blue (0 0 255) and hit 'c' to color the selected segment blue!

When you want to draw a circle, put the egg in the center and the spider on the radius. If you [Esc] out of the drawing mode, you can [Tab] to system settings. Don't worry. LaserBoy will not lose your place. In settings you can change option '6' DXF arc step in degrees to 20. Now [Esc] out of system settings and 'k' back into the drawing mode.

Tap the 'd' key and LaserBoy will ask you what portion of a circle you want. 360 or 0 will give you a full circle with points at 20 degree intervals.

When you draw circles (and other things) in LaserBoy, you don't have to worry so much about where they are or how big they are because you can change that stuff!

[Esc] out of the drawing mode and 'l' (lower case L) into the move, scale, rotate mode. Tap the 'u' or 'U' key to get the selected segment to be the circle you want to change. Now, 'x' 'X', 'y' 'Y', 'z' 'Z', 'm' 'M', 'f' 'F', etc... controls the whole selected segment.

Now that I see all of this in a series of pictures..... It's starting to look like I need to make the actionable end of the vector selection the spider and not the egg!

    Hmmmmm.

I get a lot of things absolutely backwards. Just ask keeperx!

Gosh! I never thought of that!

You're the first person to even notice that there is no mouse!

i would love to see the "option" of mouse clicking.

i think it would get a lot more people using laserboy to draw frames and edit them, but like i said optional option only. so you can still use the keyboard and get the most out of it and be more precise.
