I have to re-do all the pics and the text in this tut.

I just changed some stuff in menu 'k'. It makes a lot more sense now!

    Piece o' cake!

    James.

    I never had a mouse on my CBM-64 !

First one I ever say was on the first generation Apple Macintosh; with the little B&W sideways screen.

I think that was last week or something...

I hate to freak you all out... but LaserBoy was designed to NOT use a mouse. Part of that direction came from the fact that I had no way to make a mouse work over an ANSI terminal session!

BUT, I also developed a connection between the keyboard and the individual objects themselves, in true 3D space!

You can see in the pics in this thread that there are cursors that walk the vertices. What does that have to do with a 2D mouse?

I can see using a mouse for menus, file IO and settings dialogs and stuff like that. But I really can not see translating the real meat & potatoes of this application; it's ability to let you see and touch your art, to a mouse!

Both hands on the keyboard... LET'S GO!

james check this thing out.. it does some pretty cool stuff..

like it somehow reads your mind and as long as you hold it against a table it knows which way you move your hand. and that super sweet red button lets you click things on the screen!

i would even buy you one if you added the amazing feature

ahahaha im just f**king with ya!

ohh im gonna send you a pm about your red module

    Unhappy

    Oh crap!

    I haven't forgotten. I'm just really lazy.

There is so much more to this... especially since I have worked on the code a lot since I wrote this nonsense.

I dont think you should add mouse support, I think it would be more fun if you added WiiMote Support!!!

Apparently its the way forward for 3D Design because of the Accelerometer

In all seriousness, I think it would make some sense to use a PS3 game controller for LaserBoy!

When I can get some time, I will give james a USB controller I have built that will give laserboy 32 buttons, 6 pots and 3-4 rotary encoders.

I will then make that controller board available at 20$ over the cost to produce it.

AND THEN it will probable get hacked to be used as a MIDI controller and be a hell lot cheaper than other similar solutions
