Default 250W halogen bulb meets cardboard! :D

I was bored, so I decided to burn some stuff!

Much more powerful than the WL torch (This is 250W), but the only problem is I dont have the special focuser or reflector they use, so its pretty much just straight from the output

Very freakin bright! I had to put sunglasses on the camera

Default Yeah now try pumping a YAG rod with 3 of these Blink blindness ensues!

Still seeing the damn blue spots!

Some cheap YAG lasers like the yag max use 1 or 2- 500 to 1000 watt halogen bulbs to pump the rod.

clicking on my avatar will show the tricolor photocoagulator resonator cavity from a Lumenis Varia eye surgery medical laser, which i am attempting to refit. It originally was designed to produce 50-1500mw of 532 / 50-600mw of 659nm / 50-600mw of 561nm (Yellow)
Clicking on my Avatar will show a picture of the inside of this cavity with a 1cm bar diode in the first of 3 OEM postions & KTP holder.
