    Here's another pic of the laser with the lights on, flash from camera on, and a very small amount of cigarette smoke in the room. I'm very impressed with how well this laser build came together.

    excuse the pile of boxes.. we had just completed christmas decorating and the house was a wreck...

    FYI all this laser is still running.. i have tested it running for about 3 hours straight and it barely made it past room temp..

    if anyone wants one please let me know.. i believe i can put one together for a very fair price that is just a bit more than the sum of the cost of the parts..

    FYI, you can get a nice digital camera cheap off craigslist Sure beats the cell phone camera!

    Also, I think I'm going to atempt one of these for my projector, I do very much like the set up. Only I think I'd like to add a 3rd diode, run less amps, hopefully giving it a little more of a life span.

    the issue there is polarization..

    the beam splitter cube works by combining polarized beams at a 90 degree offset. so a 3rd diode is not gonna work..
