ive adjusted vr1 (size) to full and it now looks like this. its still a fair bit off my dt40's

Try cranking up input scale a little bit, thats the one that determines how much the galvo amps need to amplify the signal.

You would want to be 100% sure that you are adjusting the correct pot. One is for scaling adjustment, and one is to do with the AGC.. You don't want to mess with the AGC

the problem i had was vr6 moves the position of the image, but the instructions say input scale.

its actually vr7 that adjusts the input scale, so im now sorted. but the instructions are wrong
