Default "The Quest for the Copper Vapor" - Oregon to Massechusetts and back.

    Hey all!

I thought I'd roughly chronicle an impromptu roadtrip I'm in the middle of.

I started yesterday morning in Salem, Oregon and my destination is Hanover, Massachusetts where my recently purchased Copper Vapor laser is waiting at BMI. (Some of you probably recall reading about this beast in a thread called "pulse revisited" recently)

Currently, I'm stuck in Des Moines due to a degrading alternator which I will be replacing in the morning. (by the way, any one in Des Moines have a spare 1999 Grand Caravan alternator? I figure I'll grab one at NAPA anyway.)

We went through E. Oregon, Idaho, Utah, Wyoming, Nebraska and now we're in Iowa, as aforementioned.

Next up Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, Pennsylvania, New York, NYC, Connecticut and Massachusetts.

Then back through all of those with a diversion North to drop in on Adam-300Evil in Wisconsin and a slight detour in Ohio to meet up with Steve Roberts. (if he PMs me a phone number )

    Phew!

Anybody here in Des Moines? More later, even pics maybe...

This laptop (from work) doesn't have a card-reader and I conveniently forgot my cable. Maybe I'll just buy a cable.

Well, not sure if timing will be right, but if you're going to Mass thru NY, you most-likely will be taking 90 (thru NY into Mass) and that is just a stones' throw from good ol' Rottenchester, and the photonically-phoxy East-Coast 'crib' of DSLI (yours-truly, et al...)

Gimme a holler out here, 818.358.8716, so we can check on 'timings', and if ya want, I hereby offer our plenty-of-3Ø and coherent power-meter, etc, and nice warm hallways to test your CV-beastie, there, if that is desireable... if not , it'll be cool to at least meet your 'new bride' there, and chat photons for a bit / hit up some killer Thai-food, etc...

Anyhoo, lemme know, and happy trails!
    ciao..
