Looking at the Phoenix website and watching some of the flash demos they have I think it uses their own controller.

w00t :-) I think I'm possibly going to get that, then.

Define 'home'... looks like I'm going to be in San Diego with my partner's parents. I don't really do Christmas... would far rather be at home playing with lasers :-/

Phoenix Live! will NOT work with the easylase dac. I have discovered this the hard way . Now I'm pango'd and compared to Phoenix it isnt that more expensive.

O and for professional use Pango is 1000000x better compared to Phoenix. The projecjection zones in LD2000 are way easyer to setup compared to the "world" settings in phoenix.

ps. still 1 boxed easylase for sale

I have a Pangolin USB thing in my projector already, and I don't like it very much. I seem to get much better results (sharper scan, better blanking) with my EasyLase, so I need some software that can drive it. Since my shows run from a laptop I can't really use any of the more expensive Pangolin cards, which means I can't use the good software. :-/

I also use a Laptop only with the QM.NET

Everything works trough lan, even WIFI.

But if you purchase the QM and a oem NET interface and build the housing yourself it will save you allot of money compared to the nice laptop friendly pangolin housing.

If you are planning to go professional this is the way to go, else you better stick with your FB3 or easylase.

Unfortunately the QM is *way* too expensive. I also don't really like the Pangolin UI.

I was also considering Mamba Black... anyone got any opinions on this?
