Combining green

Quick question(s):

Lets say i had two 50mw 532nm lab lasers from aixiz (http://www.aixiz.com/shop/product_in...products_id=94)

Could i combine the beams using a beamsplitting cube?
Are they polarized?
Will i have to turn one 90 degrees or do i have to set both at a weird angle?

Let's say I hope you don't already have these... but in case you do, you need to get the spec sheet for them and see what the polarizaiton ratio is. I believe... the higher the difference 1000:1 is better than 100:1, the better chance you have of combining it well. 1:1 is a random polarized beam and cannot be combined using a PBS cube. I could have this 100% backwards though...

Is there a way to measure the amout of current this laser is using?

Could i run two lasers with one flexmod driver?

You could run two if the diodes were 100% identical. The problem is that one will have a higher voltage at a power, then the one will draw more current then the other. I would get 1 driver for each.

if you put a resistor in line with the hot side of each diode, that helps even out the circuit by providing a voltage drop greater than the difference between diodes

I will add that I had a 30mW of these and used a die4drive on one with great results... till I shorted the driver.

You could run two if the diodes were 100% identical. The problem is that one will have a higher voltage at a power, then the one will draw more current then the other. I would get 1 driver for each.

You can combine them if they are vandate and a linear cavity, not if they are yag or a V cavity. 100 to one is better 500 to one is fantastic for combining.

Yeah, you could do that, but then the output will not be linear because the diode voltage is not linear. Right?
