    Hi ionlaser

    and welcome to PL ....

if you send a PM to Rob ( stanwax ) im sure he will be able to give you some good prices

Rob is the UK laserwave agent and a frequent visitor to this forum, im sure he will be able to help if you are buying 3 lasers

also it is good to have a distributor that is in the UK that you can deal with and will provide support and warranty ...

sometimes a cheap deal direct with china can turn into an expensive deal if after a few weeks you have problems ... it can be a nightmare and expensive sending stuff back even if its under warranty

its better to deal with someone like Rob ... who provides excellent support ..

i think most people on this forum can vouch for that

    all the best .... Karl

    Thanks for the reply.

I just wondered what things should i avoid doing with the laser since i don't want to spend 200 + and the mess the laser up before i even do anything with it. planning to buy the 300 or 500mw green

I no he simple things like DONT put it on a carpets and things like that.

But what other things do i need to avoid

    Thanks
    ben

    Hi

I'm not to worried about the red I'm more worried about a 500mw green or blue That i want to get for the moment, I have read most of the laser safety and am still going . I know the things like warn all people who may be near or entering the room the is a laser in operation and tell them of the hazard and i must ware laser protection goggles when using the laser don't point it at people or animals (its stupid to do that and dangerous).

At the moment I'm experimenting with optics and things like that when i get the green and blue i will go into scanners for my own use just as a hobby.

    HI Ben

Welcome to Photonlexicon, you're definately at the right place to learn about lasers

It would be useful to know roughly whereabouts in the UK you are, there may be someone very local who can help you out. Perhaps you could fill out your location profile for us.

Also, Banthai has probably given you the very best advice already... Contact Rob (Stanwax)

    Cheers
