Or did you mean to move the sliders for every track until it syncs up with the music? That's what I call a pain in the ass, because this takes a long time and it's hard to get a good sync (it usually starts drifting out of sync).
    .
Before it gets out of sync I allready start a new cue or you simply move the slider to het it back into sync. I learned this from Hugo, Hugo never uses the BPM functions, only the sliders, he does everything manual with the sliders.

The very best way to operate LivePRO is to get yourself an LCD touch screen monitor. The combination of the touch screen and the Behringer is awsome and the possibilities are almost endless, only being limited by your own technical skill (or to put another way, your knowledge of LivePRO and what it can do) and of course your imagination. It really is an extremely powerful program.

    Cheers

I have a touch screen, and its great to select cue's but this is also possible with a mouse, adjusting sliders with a touch screen is not ok.

About the keyboard, the biggest problem of keyboards is the limited ammount of buttons, not sliders.
I use buttons for active track 1, 2, 3, 4. reset track 1, 2, 3, 4. toggle man timer, toggle BPM timer, image speed 1X 2X 4X, Synx, same for color and effect. etc etc. even on my novation I have short on button not sliders.
So I really don't know how you do this with the BCF with only 16 buttons.

the novation got 32 buttons and they are all assigned.
I even use the drum pads to tap the timer BPM sync and manual BPM

Take a Look at Hugo's or Glen Turners keyboard, they have way more buttons than sliders.

I'm not going to get into an argument with you

In *MY* opinion, I prefer the Behringer. You on the other hand prefer the Novation.

Isn't life a rich tapestry? I like sliders, you like buttons

Take a look at Hugo's custom build keyboard(s)

I took this picture at the Qlimax rave last month. ( 22 lasers, see other post for laser pictures of this event)

You need at least 40 button to get full control with livepro.

Spend all that money and laser hardware and then use a mac to control it all... I'm starting to doubt Hugo's judgement.

Personally I'd go chinese... Lenovo. Why? Well, from personal experience I know they keep running those lasers even after half a beer through the keyboard (and Hugo does drink beer).

At the Qlimax rave we had 19x green laser in a circle, they all react as 1 laser. So 1 laser or 19 lasers, i dont see the difference in controlling. Even when you use only 1 track it wil only save you 6 buttons (reset tracks 2,3,4 and active track 2,3,4.)

What I would really like to see is an easy way to set and change timer BPM multipliers/dividers, perhaps even for each track. You can set the global timer BPM multiplier to 2x or 4x via MIDI, but there are no dividers. More importantly, there's to my best knowledge no way to reset it to 1x either, meaning you have to restart LivePRO. I have mailed Bill about this, but he seems reluctant to implement either 1x or dividers.
I would also like to see this functionality. My DJ mixers use an effects engine that has a + and - button relating to the clock. You can then halve or double to your hearts content and its so intuitive. I see this being much more useful than sliders as I can think of many times (every gig!) when you'd want to do multiples of the BPM, but can't think of one time I'd need to do a percentage.

I suggested this to my lighting desk manufacturer for a future update and the devs liked it so much it'll appear in a later software release!

I'd like to say I've joined the LivePro crowd as from this morning, Bill and team very quickly turned around my order and got me the software electronically in time for a gig i have on 29th. Play time between now and then - scratch Xmas day!

Sorry if i resume this thread but now i have livepro... so prepare yourself to be covered by questions

First: there's any way to toggle the 4 aspect (image, effect, key effect, color cycle) of a single track using a midi command.
I would like to assign 4 buttons for every track (16 total buttons) to toggle on/off every aspect.

    Thanks

btw LivePro is amazing... i was doubtiful before, but now i enjoy it so much
