New iPod nano's?
yeah well, I got one for xmas. After reading that they actually have composite video output, I grabbed out my small LCD screen, and a spare dock connector, and started wiring. But it didnt work. The ipod says "Please connect video hardware'.
After reading up on the internet, it appears Apple have now put some stupid ID chip into the cables, so that you can only use _their_ cables. On the little dock connector breakout board, it has GNd, video, DET and Rx.
I believe DET must stand for something like detection, and Rx is usually receive.
Does anyone know anything obout forcing signals out of these things?
The reason I am asking, is its $80AU for a freakin cable!!

Cheers
