Agreed. Way too much censorship. Most times I hear of it here it's someone sounding off about being told they couldn't say something, or were actually banned. Getting rational thought expressed in that environment must be like growing rice in talcum powder. An illusion of pampering but the most arid conditions going.
Pat, I noticed that high chair too. Judging by the way I used to want to play with the hoover as a kid, I hope that guy has all the interlocks and key switches intact.
Re that YAG, I'll try that if I do set it up. I'd make some semi-permenant mountings though, so it won't be a fast thing. I've had it for over a year, I'm in no hurry.Still need to get the right PSU made. I bought some small DC-DC converter bricks on eBay.. 2 x 3000V, too high, too small current, and 4 x 600V with right current and I hoped, a chance to chain two like the 3000V ones can do, but they have their grounds linked to the low-V side so I can't chain them without hassle, risk and cost. Really nice modules too, and currently not being used for anything. Very small, 5W bricks, very tidy sources of HV. That small YAG will need something different though, to get 800V neatly.
