    So now you need 4x the power to get the same visual effect, so if a accident happen you have a 4x bigger problem...

    Always those crazy american rules...

    more than 20.000 gun deads in the US every year but having a gun is Legal.

    2 known incidents with audiance scanning (no deaths) and this is illegal...

    I'm happy to live in a country where Guns are Illegal and audiance scanning is legal...

    Default NY Eve pics from Wichita Falls, TX

    My big NYE gig was in Wichita Falls - indoors, even got to drive my trailer inside to set up/tear down! These pics were taken by the local paper a few hours before midnight -

    1 SP 168 WL laser and a lot of fibers!

    Actually, audience scanning IS LEGAL in the US, provided the proper safety rules and equipment requirements are followed - which can get VERY tedious, from what I understand, so most laser operators don't bother to go that route. However, we have PLENTY of laser shows - and operators - in the US that don't involve audence scanning, so it would appear that the lack of audience scanning isn't putting a huge damper on the business!

    Personally, I'm VERY happy to live in a country where guns and lasers can both be safely & legally owned and operated!

    With the greatest respect thats probably because you've never had a culture of audience scanning. In Europe, its almost de rigueuer. Very few dance music audiences will tolerate a club without lasers. Very few will choose a club with overhead laser shows over one with audience scanning. Its just part of the dance culture over here and something people love.

    I'm glad business is good though.

    Thats a pretty bold statement there! We have found people don't really care here whether the show is above head or in peoples faces.
