Definitely 12V. I even stuck a meter probe down its little business end to check it. Current draw is nominally 4.16 amps but might be less in practise, most times, judging by the low heat coming off it.

Re eBay, I just grab the listing number out of the URL and search for it on the site version I use.

Re the monitor, I've tested it this last hour or so, and it rocks. The contrast and colour rendring are BOTH better than the Iiyama CRT. If someone had told me this would be so I'd have not beleived it. It's true though, the CRT has a tinted conductive surface to reduce glare and electrostatic charge and X-ray emission, and this blue-tints the image worse than Romper Stomper.. In fact, my impression that they overdid it on that movie might be largely due to the CRT which was very bluish despite a moderate to low colour temperature setting. Maybe red phosphors decline faster with age and use, I don't know, but I really like the LCD, I got used to it thoroughly in an hour or less, kept changing between them to make sure. Back on the CRT for now as the LCD needs house training, but I will make the change permanent despite the angle-based efects on contrast ratio. They're not bad if the distance is at least three feet.

Haven't tried the touch sense part yet, but I will.

I'm glad that this guy turns out to be legit. (he put another 30 or so on ebay yesterday )

Doctor : when did you buy it and when did it arrive?
(just to know if mine would already be underway)

He's fast. By his own admission he's 'tight and won't pay for Saturday delivery'. Which is cool. I think I paid on Thursday night for the first one, and it arrived before mid-day on Monday after being sent on Friday. Packing is full-on too. So long as the external box is in good shape you won't need to detain the courier while you open up.

He's legit, I think. I guess the guy he mentioned from Cyprus didn't go through with the deal, hence new listing going up. They all came out of a digital jukebox design that didn't sell (maybe hit by recession), and wasn't allowed to be sold here (UK), so the parts are going on sale instead.

I'm not sure how much of what I just said is ok to post here, but he was free with that info, and it helps him, most likely, if it's seen here by potential buyers, so I guess he won't mind.
