What is it with Yanks who are always trying to claim heritage (or would it be lineage) from one of the UK outposts?
Are they trying to muscle in on our Glory?
If so then Sorry Lads but the Empire's long gone.
And if you're after The Scottish Oil reserves then they're drying up too so all that's left are deep fried Mars Bars.

Even dykes from Wales are trying to muscle in on the act !
And there's a long heritage of dykes from Wales starting with Offa !!

I'm educational as well as entertaining you see you look Boyo !!

I'm an eighth Scots, does that count? The family of Auld, from riever country, just north of the border on the west coast. I have no idea if they were really rievers though. Anyway I think my granny (who died before I was born) was a Highlander from a bit further north. And I'm a lot lot further south.

I have been hanging around here for years and theres only 4 of us who are active on this forum in Scotland ...ME , You , Xntrix and starlogic ... i have asked a couple of times if there would interest in holding a meet up here or even holding a campout ! in the summer by a loch type thing but theres been what i would class as Zero interest ! So getting a meet off the ground in Scotland would be difficult .... IM guessing you need at least 10 people to turn up to make the day flow ......... but i can assure you i think about it every year !

I'm in the south east side ( i think ) south lanarkshire anyway.

I have a friend who might want to come a long if we had one, and my dad too. There are also Scottish members on LPF ( not many right enough ). The camping idea also sounds great !

So we need about 6 more people then ? Shouldn't be too hard :P

    I like that idea.
Plenty of lochs up this way! Loch Ussie for example - look up the Brahn Seer. (Just happens to be about 2 miles away!) I was camping up this way as a teenager (many, many years ago) that determined I wanted to live up here. David

I love camping, it's good if you bring lasers too, star pointing is great when there is no street lights !
