Cool thanks! I hate trying to isolate diodes from the case.

When the going gets weird, the weird turn pro.
the link to the sale has change b/c it has been indexed and cached by google and is showing up in the top results. if anyone needs/wants diodes the price is 12$ for phr and 12.5$ for lpc. youll have to pm me for the link.
P.s. this is a forum sale only and if i see the link posted anywhere(and not obscured in some way) i will end the sale as my shop loses business b/c of it.
One of my red's arrived dead, the other is 165mw's at 360ma
both blu rays work.
I have pm'd him with No reply!
did i harvest them for you? have you EVER seen a laser diode with a warranty? how do i know you discharged the cap before you hooked the diode up? every diode is a little different so at 360ma as long as its putting out laser light its not a dead diode.... that range is also fairly normal from what people on lpf have said...
let me state this for the folks not used to dealing with bare diodes....
DUE TO THE SENSITIVE NATURE OF LASER DIODES THESE ASSEMBLIES ARE SOLD AS-IS WITH NO WARRANTY EITHER IMPLIED OR OTHERWISE...
if you want a warranty the sleds will cost you 25$ each

that is what I expected!
I will look elswhere for these diodes!
umm laser diodes are not new to me at all,,
see those MS gaming mice well I am one of the 3 who came up with the DPI resolution,,I helped design and build the prototypes.
As I say the Diode arrived dead! how do i know you did not send it that way to me? also a low output with a dead one kinda shows me
that people should be aware!
These open can diodes should not be wrapped in alum. foil!!!!!
the damage after looking in the scope is the lead going to the die that has been smashed down!!
I am sending it farther down the road for further inspection
please by all means do what you think you need to do. wrapping a diode in aluminum foil is perfectly acceptable to prevent ESD to the pins but think whatever you want to b/c i wont sell anything to you EVER again.
p.s. the diodes were also shipped in small boxes to prevent the diode from getting "crushed." i do pay attention and package stuff i sell well. i see you do actually like telling your side while omitting things and playing ignorant but thats fine too..
what have I omited?
you sound like a little kid?
Umm you harvested the diodes! did i forget that?
I am letting another person take a look and see if the damage is from the lead being pressed against the die..
I am a member over at LPF also
I will say again these open can diodes should not be sent in alum. foil with out some protection to the die!!
we are aware of the esd probs.
So far as i am concerned someone who does not back his product!
my 02.

you omitted the fact they were shipped in a 1x1 1/2" small box to protect them from getting damaged... maybe someone with some REAL diode experience should speak up...
out of the 300+ harvested diodes i have sold your the second to tell me they got a dead diode...

I have real experiance !
