    Default "finished" my first projector

    19-1-2009 UPDATED PICTURES (Beam photo's)

Today i finished my first laserprojector.
The goal for me was to use this project for practice basic electronics and working with alluminium etc.
The budget was SUB 500 dollars for the projector (not the DAC)
and i wanted a 3 analog laser setup in a "small" package.
If i would redesign the setup the projector could be 25% smaller.

I know its not the most smart/practical setup.. but hey i seemed the most logical.economical thing to do.
I keeps dust from falling on the dichros but make reallingment alot harder.

I think i am ready now for building a real projector with all the bells and wisles (safety and color).
It was a "educational" experience for me.
Thank you PL guys for all the nice information

    special thanx to:

Jem (scanners for a budget price)
    Stanwax/ROB (basic analog driver schematic)
    DZ/dave (electronics) help
    Xintrix (electronics)
    Bill pangolin (electronics and schematics)

laserpowers (measured with synrad PW1 meter)
All safe levels for longer lifespan.

    650nm 142mW
    532nm 40mW
405nm 62mW (must get more power)

    scanners: scanECO20's

videos extremely bad quality and shot quickly
note: 405nm wavelengt isn't recorded by my camera.

Thats one neat (and cute) projector
well done and thanks for sharing - not sure it need to be 25% smaller as it looks pretty pocket sized to me

If you need to ask the question 'whats so good about a laser' - you won't understand the answer.

    Seems like some "school" project

And second, you are damn good to take photos..
I can tell that the photos is not taken by some cheap Shaws camera (?)
Seems more like an Nikon\canon ..
I love the details and macros.. and that nice red light behind the Pango pic..

    Nice :-)

I also like to focus on the object that does matter..

    I had a canon 300D before, now I have a Nikon D200..
It`s my hobby, but have allot more to learn before I can say any of my photos is perfect!

    Anyway, back to topic..
Where did you get the R\G\B diodes ?

And is this some parts that you want to make and sell as a Setup
I love to make tiny electric stuff..

    Thumbs up

Very Nice! Power levels similar to my first projector without the ghetto factor. Is that a big dipper green?
