    Agreed. I do so as well. But I still like to archive my messages. And like I said, the G-mail solution is just the ticket if you ever need to search through a bunch of old PM's looking for an address or phone number.

    I use nPOP, a client which saves in plain text. TextPad has a wicked search, with RegExp, if I need it. I won't pretend that loading a 20 MB text archive doesn't suck at times though.
