I am okay with either of the dates. 21st would be nice so we can have DSLI show up with their 'truckload' How about we give them the final answer after the board meeting? Do they get booked that often?

My gut feeling is to go with the sure thing, and only because of the big fiasco we had to go through to finally find a place to use...

Also, as promised, please let me know where to send $$ and how to help in any way possible/needed.

First, 'You 'da Man!!' Thanks for even thinking about accommodating me / us...

Well, good news and bad news...

So as it stands right now, we're 99% sure that we can do it on the 28th of March. But if we want to go with the 21st of March, we won't know if it's possible until at least a week from now.

So what do you guys think? Do we go with the sure thing and do this on the 28th? Or do we wait and try to work it out for the 21st, even if we have to change venues? Your thoughts?

Truth is, Marc and I have not 'chatted-this-up' yet - I was buried in video-crunching-world ALL bloody-day, today - barely got-out to take a breath of sun.. AND, probably more importantly, our 'Client' has not had the courtesy to follow-thru on the Show Contract they've been sent, so I'm a little worried we may-have encountered our first 'show-flake' of the year...

So, I'd say - soley speaking for myself, since I certainly can't for Marc - book the 28th, and I will try and contact him ASAP, and see if we can work something out... I know I personally cannot do the 28th, for sure, but I definitely don't want you guys to try and jump thru more hoops than you already have, on my-account...

BUT (and there's always a 'but', isn't there? if there is one thing the laser show 'biz' has taught me, is the omnipresent absolute-need for a (good and workable) 'Plan B'... So, unless it costs people money, or is a burdensome amount of work, I'd suggest 'pencil-in' the 28th-place, but possibly keep-on keepin-on with checking out places for the 21st (ie that 'theater' (???) JUST IN CASE something happens with the 'TBC' there (ie - they determine their reno's are gonna take longer than expected / they run into 'snags', whatever... jepordizing the 28th...)

Again, unless it cost money to do so, shouldn't hurt to keep investigating a 'Plan B' right? Anybody find out more info on a 'Elks / Masons, etc' Lodge, one perhaps with nice, high ceilings?

I should-know by Mon / Tues (I'd better! ) what my sched will be, and will try and chat with Marc, ASAP... So, that's my 'concept'... let's 'KIT'...

EON 10's... I can reminisce the days when I had a pair of them back in highschool... side job doing DJ for parties... paid real well, and was an excellent 'girl magnet'

Nonetheless... that is some amazing sound power! Their mixer is just pure amazing... JBL has impressed me with the quality of the sound and clarity of every note out of these speakers that blasted damn near every weekend for 2 whole years, and then sell for just under what I paid for them!

So... 21st then?

Hey guys...

Well, the board meets on Wednesday, so I'll know something by Thursday morning. I'm pretty sure we're all set for the 28th; just waiting for final blessing from the board. The 21st, on the other hand, is going to be problematic if we want to move the date.

First, they will probably be working in the building that day (not 100% sure yet, but they wanted to do some painting that weekend). Second, it looks like I'll be tied up on Friday the 20th until around 4 PM or so (got a meeting that I absolutely can't duck out of), so I would not be able to get to the venue early to do any prep work.

We could still try to do something though. I could leave straight from work Friday evening and haul ass to Florida... And assuming that they don't do the painting until Sunday, we might still be able to make it happen on the 21st. But at the moment it looks like the 28th will be easier.

So now is the time to talk it out. If we're sure that everyone will be available on the 21st, I don't mind trying to move the date - especially if John is going to be there with a ton of equipment. (No 3 phase power though.) The drive isn't that big of a deal for me. Getting the venue a week earlier would be the only real sticking point, and I'll go to bat for the group if that's when everyone wants to have the meet.

John - what's the scoop? Will you be there or not? And what about you, Marc? You gonna fly/drive to Orlando that weekend? I need to know soon - preferably before Wednesday when the boat club board meets so I can give them the revised date and plead with them to hold off on the painting.

Either date is good for me. I thought to ask if we want to plan a weekend thing for both days. Since it is so close maybe a Bar-B-Que on Sunday for those still in the area. I makeum good ribs.

I can also try to swing by and take a look, snap some pictures and/or show the Boat Club Board Members some of what we plan to do.

I would guess that he meant having something on the 21st & 22nd, or the 28th and the 29th... But I obviously will not stand in the way of having 2 FLEM's back to back! HAHA!

I'm down to take the whole week off and have 7 or 8 days or lasers...

I meant a one weekend thing, 21-21nd OR 28-29th... Or a LEM on Saturday and then a BBQ on Sunday before everyone takes off.
