    Evil
when the chiller is in cooling cycle how much current is supplied
    to the TEC's?

I'll have to take it apart and check again but with the way my TEC's are in series. My guess would be no more than 2-3A. I'll take it apart tonight when I get back from work and get some numbers for ya.

Glad to help! Thanks for all the cool stuff you sent me.
Here's a video I made a few minutes ago to aid in the explanation of how the PS controls the TEC's. Obviously more than just an on/off signal... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cgb6qbhDIpA

    very interesting!
I do not hear the relays?
when i hook up a external supply set at 28 volts the most i have seen was 1.3amps,so i must be close and that is when it switched to heating to stabilize at 21c.

Yes, the relays only switch when the PS needs to change polarity. The TEC's are finely controlled with some crazy PWM signal. Not just a simple full on/off.

I bet the current and voltage ramp way up with the higher demand in cooling

Not from what I've seen. I performed more tests than just the video and even with a big temperature differential, the current never goes beyond 800mA on my ThermoTek unit. Your PS may be different though judging by the impedance of your heat exchanger.

curious,,have you been able to get the actual voltages to the TEC's?

    I always like fixing things.

Anybody know what they mean by "Gradient" on this chiller. In the menu their is "Set Temp" and "Gradient". I obviously know what the set temp is for but what does gradient do? It's set for 60C right now and is adjustable from 5C - 60C.
It is how many degrees in a set amount of time to get to the set temp.
60c it will get there fast,5c it will take some time to get to the temp
