    Default WTB: scanner kit 20k+

i know josh(sk8nmidget) can get scanpro 20k's for around 200$ shipped but does anyone know of a good source for other ones? chinesedepartmentstore.com has a 30k kit for <250$+shipping. whats my best bet on a kit of 20k+ speeds or is there any cheaper sources?

I would go the extra bill or so and get a set of DT25s from DZ. Local and awesome support.

Some of the ScanPros come with a DMX board, but I have not been too impressed with the DMX boards, mainly due to ignorance on how to use them.

I would get a set of LP20's from DIY Laser show which are $195 then I would get a Pangolin FB3 for $595. That would work great for you!

I'd too get the DT25's or if you can afford them DT 40's.

Buffo has reviewed the DT25's here: http://www.photonlexicon.com/forums/...ead.php?t=5774

They're quality scanners that actually make the speeds claimed (many don't as Greek pointed out).

Also the DT's come pre-tuned at the factory as you can see from the beautiful ILDA test pattern projection. Most scanners don't and come in varying states of "untune" from fair to down right awful!!

Should say as well it also depends on your application. For beams it isn't as critical but for graphics the quality and tuning is everything.

    What he said ^

I just bought scanners from DZ and he is a really cool dude. Great value and extremely fast shipping. Buy quality scanners! It is like buying quality hand tools. Would you rather have a ratchet from Harbor Freight or Craftsman from Sears? It might cost a little more at first but it will last longer and perform better in the long run.
Warranty is awesome (and local to the US) too.
