    Default startup relay for diodes

    As promised.

For those who are looking for a startup delay relay to place across their diode lasers

look at A4 in the attached schema , the 555 timer. Shorten the 12 meg resistor to 1 meg.

make sure the relay has a .1 uf cap across the supply and a reverse diode across the coil to short out spikes.

hook the hot side of the relay , not shown, to +5 or +12 , There are 2 pics attached.

Please note this circuit must be highly bypassed or the kick from the relay can do as much damage as it protects from. It is best

that the circuit be powered from a seperate interlock power supply. You can also use this circuit with dual contacts

to delay applying power to scanner amps untill both supplies are valid and stable.

    See Attached.
