Default 12K ILDA test frame with an RGY projector, tuning question?

OK, I have an RGY projector with a set of 'Daves' 20K scanners in and I wish to tune then to 12K at a 25 degree scan angle using the ILDA test frame.
With the projector being a RGY the projector dosen't display certain parts of the test frame i.e. the blue circle!!

How do you go about tuning scanners properly in an RGY projector? I tried re-colouring the whole test frame green but I have heard it said that won't work properly?

I am reasonably good with an RGB projector at tuning but the RGY has got me foxed.

    Thanks
    Jim

If you set the color pallette up for a single color, you should get all the parts... I don't see why you wouldn't get all the parts with an RGY if you have it set up for RGY. Sounds like you have the pallette set for RGB while running a RGY. Can't you re-train your pallette for only two lasers? What software are you using?

This example is for LD but other software should show you blanked points.

in LD, load the test frame, TURN ON SHOW BLANKED POINTS AND SHOW BLANKED LINES in the editor in LD. Stuff that is blanked will show up in a hazy light grey, recolor the blue circle carefully, avoiding the stuff that is light grey and thus ment to be blanked. Save it as modified.ild so you dont end up reusing it without knowing its a hack.

not the greatest solution, but probably easier then doing a a palette retrain right off the bat, or hardware diode anding the blue signal to another color.

eventually you'd need to make a custom palette for that projector.
