    Update:

Well... it's been at this state for some time now... haven't had the chance to really 'play' with it though

It's still shell-less, so the sides have been made and can be mounted on, but there are no holes for the fans, plugs, beam aperture, etc...

Currently installed are the red(658), green(532), blue(473), and BluRay(405). The 635 had to wait because I need to find some optics to tame the beam first, as well as some suitable dichro to combine my colors with that new red.

A few things I would change:
    - The arrangement... it never is good enough, is it?
    - The wiring solutions (I have one in mind, but it's a tedious replacement to the existing solution... so this will have to do for now)
    - The size I chose for the red and the BluRay. This could happen soon.
    - I ordered 3 LaserWave mirrors from DIY Laser Show 3 months ago... all I got was 3 'tentative' mirrors... You can see the 'ghost' beams in some shots, this is due to the mirrors I got. The order will be fulfilled soon I hope...

A couple things I'm proud of:
    - The simplicity of the alignment. This thing can be up and running from scratch in less than 20 minutes! (I did it at least 5 times after dismanteling to add 'one more hole' ).
    - The whole things has some weight to it, but for the size and all that's packed in... it's not bad at all!
    - It has a computer... ON BOARD! With wireless and all (If things go well here soon, I might be able to start shows from my phone )
    - Extrusions = fantastic!
    - Excellent color balance

Hope you enjoy the pictures and video, and as usual, comments, suggestions, and opinions most welcome.

    Thanx for looking;

That is looking good! What kind of losses do the two extra mirrors cause? I have been trying to figure out the best layout without!

Laser (the acronym derived from Light Amplification by Stimulated Emissions of Radiation) is a spectacular manifestation of this process. It is a source which emits a kind of light of unrivaled purity and intensity not found in any of the previously known sources of radiation. - Lasers & Non-Linear Optics, B.B. Laud.

Wow, that looks very very very nice.

How is that blu-ray working out? Is it boosting your blue output? I would like to know more about what it adds to the experience.

I have a dual bluray planned for my very own TEMBTTGFDLTM (Too expensive metal box that the GF doesn't like too much ) but is it worth the space its gona take up?

    Question

    Nice Vid.
Was the audio fed directly into the camera or dubbed on after?

DDL.....Great job and very very nice colors ! Very clean white!

    What's total output power?

    Thank you Adam.

The mirrors (as of now) add some significant losses, as well as the dreadful 'ghost' beams that they throw out there. This is because they are bad mirrors and are there as a tentative solution. In all reality, I am expecting the final set of mirrors to take ~10mW of green (from 300+mW) and ~40mW from the full white beam (mostly due to the BluRay losses). The current mirrors are beyond horrible at reflecting BluRay and Green. But above all, the ghost is what makes me unable to have that final sigh of reliefe.

You can do without them if you turn the green 90 degrees and move the scanners in place of the second mirror, but it makes adding other colors that much more difficult is the plate is not that long. I also see that having the mirrors provides a little more alignment help overall. The MM1's are excellent mirror mounts.

Thank you very much I do love it too

TEMBTTGLDLTM... LOL! Does she like the final result though? Mine was amazed at the final result... she was fascinated by the beam shows. Made it all that much more worth it

As about the BluRay... it does make a difference... in some cases more than others. Where there is a lot of deep blue, you get a more vibrant and true deep blue. In the smoke it adds a really nice sparkle (to my eyes it does at least). I played most the graphic shows on a non flourescent white wall, and the BluRay was visible as it is hard to miss the effect that it adds, but it is not that pronounced. On a white paper where BluRay flouresces bright blue, it was very easy to spot the difference. Once instance where the color pallet gets much bigger is for example in 'Born to be Wild' the shoes on the riders and in some other spots, the color is very different from the rest of the image... which adds a little more depth to the overall result... well worth it IMO.

Overall, I think it makes 473 Blue that much better, but I'm not sure about running it by itself as I haven't tried that yet...

    FINE-ASS SHOW!!

Great idea on using Blue Man Group. That's one of the first tunes I WAS going to use when my projector is done.

    Great job!!
