I've always thought that using radar guns to measure the speed of a wheeled vehicle is dodgy - from the viewpoint of a stationary observer, i.e. Mr Plod, with a car moving towards them, although the car is moving at a certain speed, this is not true of the entire car - at any given instant, the bottom of the wheels must be stationary, (unless the car was skidding) while the tops of the wheels are travelling at twice the speed of the car body. So how can anyone be 100% sure that any 'excessive' speed measurement shown on the radar came from the car body and not from the top of the wheels? I'd imagine this effect would be more pronounced on a car with a composite body (poor radar reflector) and sculpted alloy wheels, like many sports cars. Problem is, you'd need a jury that was smart enough to understand the argument, and most people find relativity difficult to get their heads around!

its situations like you describe that make it where if you have an expensive lawyer and your case actually goes to trial you can beat a radar ticket. Back in the day when I had tons of money I took a $250 ticket and speant $7,000 to beat the ticket. The cop that gave it to me was a complete bitch and I did not want to give her the satisfaction, on top of that, i actually was not speeding even by 1MPH. If I could only get that money back now, lol

just replace your plate light with a LED one in which you just added IR leds so the picture saturates and your plate is not readable... just my thinking, but I think this is the best thing to do, if they have no IR filter in their cameras ^^

From the way thats written, post #16, I'm suspecting it could be a bot and the product link is missing.

But anyway, whats the virtue in blocking GPS from a speeding pov as it doesn't stop your speed or the video being recorded so far as I'm aware.

All it does is make it harder for pursuing police to pin point you by eg the gps signal on your smart phone or sat nav. So unless you're a hardened criminal going to run from the police you have no need for one. If you are going to run from the police, just take the battery out of your phone or leave it at home and don't rely on a sat nav for a police pursuit! If they already have sight of you not going to make any difference anyway!

All GPS blockers do is f*ck everyone's sat nav within a 1 or 2 mile radius and interfere with emergency services such as ambulances.

Back in the old days of radar, we used to use some old school BEA VGO87 microwave sensors for automatic doors. They didn't work well though but they did work. Those sensors were 24.125Ghz.
