    Question ILDA signal

    Hi All

I have a laser LANLING L818RGY (unfortunately only the red diode is working I don't know why the green one is not working and because now I have Moncha 2.1 with their USB box I tried to play my first show... but even if in Moncha is recognizing the device the laser somehow is not receiviing (or not working) the ILDA signal.
I checked in the very short manual of the laser and is saying nothing regarding some special settings that I need to do for PC control mode. I just put the ILDA cable and make sure that in Moncha the device is ready and set laser is ON.

What should I do? How can I check where is the problem? Probably laser is not ok? Or may be the ILDA cable? Or could be even the device is not converting the PC signal to laser? There is any way to test each one?

    PLEASE HELP!

    Thanks.

does it work in auto mode mate?

if you get a multimeter and check the ttl/analoge blanking wires (the one coming out of the laser driver with one red and one white wire) and see if your getting some voltage.

also on the ilda connector on pin 6 or 19 see if your getting a voltage 5v around there. this will tell you if your dac is outputting a control voltage.

see this for all ilda wiring

try this and see if there is any voltage and post back

im sure someone else will have some more info once you have checked these

plug in the ilda plug, power down then power up, if the moncha dac has the ilda interlock pins supported and shorted together, this often helps with Chinese lasers.

just a wild guess, but it has worked before.

    Hi Guys

Thank you for your help. Finally the problem was the ILDA cable. Pin 4 and 17 had to be connected in order the laser to have the ILDA signal.
Now is everything fine and working

Pins 4 and 17 are the interlock pins that MixedGas was talking about above...
