    Default Mame for LD2000

    Hello everyone-
I wanted to share a progress report with the LazyMame port to LD2K SDK. Things are going well! Bill gave me a few tips to get past the one issue I had with the LD2K port (thanks again!). The conversion has probably taken less than a total of 4 hours or so, and it is getting pretty close to be able to drop on the FTP. I still need to clean up a couple spots, and perhaps come up with a simpler launching app.
Here is a video that includes a scene of my disconnected Easylase DAC as "evidence". http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7yYqKQbRqkI
I'll keep ya posted on the progress.
One last note, I noticed something cool- even after exit of the game software, I went into LD2000 and saw my last game frame right there in frame 1! I said, hm... maybe I can use a rolling ticker to save gameplay a a series of frames- I don't know what good it would do, but hey why not?

    Thumbs up Mike Rocks!

Aaron said it best: You rock Mike! This is indeed holy grail stuff. Robert Mudryk will be jealous as hell. (He never released his version to the public, much to the disappointment of many Pangolin users.)

And only 4 hours to port it! Amazing! At this rate we might be able to demo it at FLEM in March...

Keep up the awesome work, Mike!

Hey thanks for the enthusiasm guys! It is like fuel for these kinds of projects. March will be no problemo, hopefully I can have it tightened up in less than a week- barring any unforeseen things that pop up. Bill has some interesting ideas to try as far as the concept of points VS vector goes, so with any luck, phase 2 of this thing will be even better from a scan quality standpoint. The 30k scanner I am currently using is a little lame, but I am in the process of assembling its replacement. I will probably get this first phase version compiled and out there first, before I begin the dreaded "down time" period while I transplant lasers & optics from the old to new scanner.
Thanks again & check back for updates!
    Mike
