    Default arrival time

I get into Orlando International at 5:19 p.m. on Friday- March 20. Then pick up a rental car at the airport. If anyone getting in B4 or around same time am willing to share ride and or cost of rental car.

Dinner sounds good. Estimate won't be in Tavares B4 7:00 p.m.

You might be able to get here by 8pm... Damn, you'll be lucky to leave the airport by 6pm... on Friday. Welcome to Orlando at its finest hour for traffic...

Luckily directions are easy, most direct route, 436, aka Semoran Blvd (runs directly into the airport, signs everywhere), straight to 441 in Apopka, 436 ends as it merges into 441 which runs right in front of the Holiday Inn as it passes the Venue. This is not the route I personally would take, but I know the area intimatly and drive like a local. Unfortunatly all roads at this hour might be praticing to be parking lots; might want to check on a communter flight from Orlando Executive to Lessburg Regional Airport. I should be available to give directions, support, and prayers during your travel.

    436, aka Semoran Blvd
I hated Semoran! If I remember correctly, the 436 and highway 50 intersection is on the top 10 bussiest and most dangerous intersections in florida! At that time of day, you may be better taking the Beeline to the Turnpike to 437, but it'll cost you a chunk of change in toll!

the 436 and highway 50 intersection... is being re-done... now that you mention it very bad place to be.

Beeline to the Turnpike to 429 (another toll) is the way I would go. 429 ends oat the norht sie of Apopka on 441. Make left, north, and you're 45 minutes away.

Wow, so they are finally building an overpass at that intersection? I remember them talking about that many years ago. I can't imagine how bad it is there now... Seems like there was at least 1 wreck there a day.

I don't really see any overpass being put together... I just see rubble and lane closures... nothing new taking place... lol

They did ruin most of 50 around this side of town for their projected 'renovation'. With glorious Florida tradition it will be like that for a few years (like the 408).

Amazing, an overpass is the only thing that's going to clean up that intersection. Maybe they'll just expand it and add a toll booth.... That should clear up some of the traffic...

Sounds like FLEM is in bad need of an air taxi direct from the airport to the venue site!!

I just happen to know someone who will drive said air taxi for free if FLEM can acquire the vehicle...
