FLEM is *on* for Saturday, March 21st 2009 at 10 AM

Just a quick update - we're less than a week away, folks!

Good news: Fred (Astroguy) is going to be there with his projector! (Yay!)

Bad news: The "mystery" projector will probably not arrive in time for this event. Don't worry, there will be plenty of discussion about this at FLEM.

Also: I am right in the middle of a huge maintenance outage at the plant, so I'm working 12-16 hour days. Gonna be hard for me to check in here. If you've got questions, call me on my cell phone. (843) 324-0735. If I don't pick up, it means I'm at work still. (No cell service at the plant.) Just leave me a message and I'll call you back when I get home.

I should be leaving Charleston on Friday around 1:30 PM or so. After that, I will not have Internet access until the evening of the 22nd. Again, call me if you need to get in touch with me.

Mixedgas has the Phlem flu, and must bow out, appointment with kidney specialist to adjust medication on friday, I'm bed bound right now, very weak with nasty flu.

Dammit man!!! You are one of the highlights... I hope all goes well with the appointment. Partying with James will do that to you... XTC has it's drawbacks. That is why they stopped prescribing it in the 70's... It is really not good for the immune system.

Rumor has it the "mystery" projector will be mailed tomorrow, FedEx, 1-2 day... Let us all pray, to whatever deity you believe in, make whatever sacrifice to whatever power you need to, and generally have faith that customs will not even glance at this package so it can arrive late Thursday or early Friday for our enjoyment on Saturday. So, everybody, think positive happy thoughts about the mystery projector and its prompt arrival to its new owner's location.

Aaron: I have faith that the Flying Spaghetti Monster will speed your package along on it's way to FLEM. Can't wait to see that baby in operation...

And for the rest of you - no, it's not a 1/3 power LaserWorld projector. But I can tell you that it will have 445 nm blue in it. (Bucket-loads of 445 nm blue, in fact!) Should be quite impressive.

Regarding the venue, sounds covered, live broadcasting is covered, who wants to take on the responsibility of covering the windows? Any volunteers?
